The 19th EMIW will be held at Beijing Jiuhua Grand Hotel, Xiaotangshan Town, Changping District, Beijing, China. Jiuhua is the nearest holiday inn away from the downtown and in the east of Changping District of Beijing. As a royal palace in the old days, Jiuhua undoubtedly features a deep accumulation of culture, which is reflected in its architectures of Ming & Qing style and places of interests. It is located next to the Six Ring Road, and takes about forty minutes' drive from the Beijing Capital Airport.

There are 2 main options to get to The Jiuhua Grand Hotel:

  • 1. Go to workshop venue by yourself
    A) By Subway
    The participants can take subway (Airport line number L1) at Capital Airport, the ticket is RMB 25, then transfer at Sanyuanqian station to Line 10, the ticket is RMB 2, transfer at Huixinxijie Nankou station to Line 5, the ticket is RMB 2, and finally take off at Tiantongyuan North station.

    After you exit from the subway, you can take bus from Tiantongyuan North station to Jiuhua Grand Hotel, the bus station is about 200m north from the Tiantongyuan North subway station, you can take the bus with number 984, the ticket is about RMB 2, otherwise you can take taxi, the distance from Tiantongyuan Bei station to Jiuhua Grand Hotel is about 12km, the total costs for taxi will be US$ 5 - 6.

    B) Taxi

    Taxis are everywhere in the city and is the most convenient way to get around. Taxis charge RMB 2.0 yuan per kilometer for the first 15 km, and then RMB 3.0 yuan for every additional kilometer. Toll fees are an extra.

    You can take taxi at the airport to workshop venue directly. The distance from Capital airport to Jiuhua Grand Hotel is about 50 kilometers. It costs about US$ 25~30 from the airport to the workshop venue by taxi.

  • 2. The Loc will arrange to meet guest at the airport on 22 and 23 October.
    Guest-meeting Scheme

    The guest-meeting for the main workshop will be arranged on 22 and 23 October at Beijing Capital Airport. Volunteers with welcome board (19th EM-workshop) will meet guests at 2nd and 3rd terminal respectively in Beijing Capital Airport.
