Pre-Workshop venue -- How can I get there?

MTDIW (pre-workshop) will be held in Long Ge Hotel to provide training with interactions for young researchers and students on processing, modeling and interpretation of EM data. A few experienced professors (scientists) will be invited to deliver the lectures in MTDIW. Long Ge Hotel, is located near the Institute of Geology, CEA, situated south of 4th Ring Road and 200 meters south of Jianxiang bridge, and only 5 minutes driving distance from the hotel to Asian Games village, Olympic village, and Olympic Game Centre. There are 27 bus stops and subway station for line 10th nearby the hotel.

There are 2 main options to get to the Long Ge Hotel:

  • 1. Go to pre-workshop venue by yourself
    A) By Subway

    The participants can take subway (Airport line number L1) at Capital Airport, the ticket is RMB 25, then transfer at Sanyuanqiao station to Line 10, the ticket is RMB 2, take off at Jiandemen station (it is spelled as Jiandemenqiao station sometimes). The Long Ge Hotel is located North-west of the Jiandemen subway station with a distance of about 450m.

    (After you exit from the subway, walk northward for about 300m, turn left, walk westward for about 150m, and then get to the Long Ge Hotel)

    B) Taxi

    Taxis are everywhere in the city and is the most convenient way to get around. Taxis charge RMB 2.0 yuan per kilometer for the first 15 km, and then RMB 3.0 yuan for every additional kilometer. Toll fees are an extra.

    You can take taxi at the airport to pre-workshop venue. The distance from Capital airport to Long Ge Hotel is about 30 kilometers. It costs about US$ 15~20 from the airport to the pre-workshop venue by taxi.

  • 2. The Loc will arrange to meet guest at the airport on 20 October.
    Guest-meeting Scheme

    The guest-meeting for the pre-workshop will be arranged on 20 October at Beijing Capital Airport. Volunteers with welcome board (19th EM-workshop) will meet guests at 2nd and 3rd terminal respectively in Beijing Capital Airport.
