Call for sponsorships

Dear Colleagues

The 19th International Workshop on Electromagnetic Induction in the Earth, hosted by International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) and International Association of Geomagnetism and Aeronomy (IAGA), will be held in Beijing China on October 23-29, 2008. About 300 experts abroad and 200 Chinese specialists will participate in the meeting. It is the international forum for Earth scientists and engineers in electromagnetic, electric and magnetic methods, and related fields to present and exchange the results of theoretical research, experiments, new technologies, new methods, and advances of their applications. The meeting will cover topics in energy and mineral resources exploration, hydrology, engineering and environment problems, probing deep structure of the Earth, and monitoring earthquakes and geological hazards. It also serves as a unique opportunity for manufacturers of instruments and software to exhibit their new products and services.

To ensure the success of the meeting, the Organizing Committee invites co-sponsors to help defray meeting expenses such as facilities rental, audiovisual equipment, local transportation, and to provide partial travel grants for students, young scientists, and senior researchers from developing countries. The following sponsorship levels are offered:

Gold sponsorship:
1. A standard booth of eight square meters in the exhibition area;
2. Three free attendee registrations;
3. Sponsors will receive 10 workshop handbooks and disks of workshop abstracts;
4. Sponsors will be entitled to one full page of introduction in workshop handbook;
5. Web link from workshop website;
6. Sponsorship amount: $US 8000 (minimum) for abroad, £¤50000 (minimum) for domestic;
Silver sponsorship:
1. A standard booth of five square meters in the exhibition area;
2. Two free attendee registrations;
3. Sponsors will receive 6 workshop handbooks and disks of workshop abstracts;
4. Sponsors will be entitled to half page of introduction in workshop handbook;
5. Web link from workshop website;
6. Sponsorship amount: $US 5000 (minimum) for abroad, £¤35000 (minimum) for domestic
Bronze sponsorship:
1. A standard booth of three square meters in the exhibition area;
2. One free attendee registration;
3. Sponsors will receive 4 workshop handbooks and disks of workshop abstracts;
4. Sponsors will be entitled to quarter page of introduction in workshop handbook;
5. Web link from workshop website;
6. Sponsorship amount: $US 2000 (minimum) for abroad,£¤15000 (minimum) for domestic
General sponsorship:
1. Sponsors will receive 2 workshop handbooks and disks of workshop abstracts;
2. Sponsorship amount: no restriction

The names or logos of all co-sponsors and their sponsorship levels will be displayed on the workshop website, in the workshop handbook, and at suitable places near meeting rooms and/or poster rooms. The Organizing Committee will arrange the time and place for gold, silver or bronze co-sponsors to make individual presentations if desired.
